PEG – Precision Elliptical Gearing
Revolutionary Precision Elliptical Gearing is patented in several countries worldwide and is a key technical feature in Okuma’s spinning reels. The PEG system uses elliptical oscillation gears that allow for exceptionally smooth line retrieval onto the spool. The gears are always engaged, ensuring that the spool’s line lay is very even—eliminating spool jumping.
EFR II – Even Flow Roller System

RES II – Rotor Equalizing System
This second-generation RES system is based on precisely placing a computer-balanced weight on the rotor. The weight allows for fine-tuning of the rotor’s balance, eliminating vibration and making the reel operation smooth.
Quick-Set Anti-Reverse
This system eliminates backward movement in the handle. This is achieved by using a corrosion-resistant bearing in the reel that only rotates in one direction.
Hydro Block
Hydro Block is a rubber seal installed on the top of the spinning reel’s spool, preventing water and debris from reaching the brake discs. This ensures the brake always performs at its optimal level.
