Lastu ice lures are Finnish craftsmanship at its best. Lastu is Pilkkipaja’s most popular ice rod and now all the most delicious colors of Lastu are available!
PILKKIPAJA Lastu is a balance lure designed for perch ice fishing in the backwaters of large lakes, made from high-quality materials respecting the Finnish balance ice fishing traditions.
Lastu balance rods swim best with sharp little bumps made with varying intensity, each pull jerking in different directions, like a wounded pike trying to escape from a predator. Sometimes the ice rod can simply shake in place, which often causes the fish to bite the hair deep into their mouths.
The model gave strong evidence of its performance all over Finland in the -21 season. Lastu has brought countless perch, zander, trout onto the ice and has also been found to be effective in grayling ice fishing on spring ice in the north. The length of the Lastu is 65mm overall and weighs 10 grams. The Lastu swims best with 0.22-0.25mm monofilament line or 0.15-0.17mm fiber line, feel is the most important when ice fishing.
Smelt colors
- Supershell is Lastu’s new color for the 2023 season – This shell color has worked great on the lakes of Central Finland. The yellowish belly tinted to a specific color has made many large perch strike when this swims up to the offer!! We recommend it. The color was created by Joel Kangas from Jyväskylä and the color has been very effective.
- Hilekuore – Traditional hilekuore color, belly light gray
- Foliokuore – Belly light gray, back shell tone and a little chameleon on top that shows up when turned in a different light than the back of a real scaly fish flashing
- Yellowkuore – Hile-based shell color with a light olive back
Vendace colors
- Hilekuore with white belly and Hilekuore with yellow belly – Traditional vedge colors, with a scale pattern on the back in a chameleon color
- Blueberry vedge is a blueberry version of the foil vedge, where the entire body except for the back is pure foil with a slightly vivid pattern, the royal color of clear waters that is liked by large perch.
