The Rapala Scatter Rap Deep Husky Jerk 10 mimics a panicked, fleeing small fish, darting back and forth. This movement combines the same burst and side roll found in the traditional Deep Husky Jerk 10. This action is effective for all predator fish, from pike to perch.
Which is better – the Scatter Rap’s fleeing prey motion or the traditional Deep Husky Jerk’s injured prey action? The answer depends on the day, and even on the mood of the predator fish throughout the day. Sometimes one motion works better, and a few hours later, the other may be more effective. For this reason, it’s smart to have both types of action in your tackle box and let the fish decide.
- Length: 10 cm
- Weight: 10 g
- Deep-diving body
- Maximum dive depth when casting: 2.7 meters, trolling: 3.6 meters
The listed and packaged dive depths were measured on Lake Vesijärvi in Lahti, Finland. The measurement method is always the same: using 0.30mm monofilament line, a boat speed of 3 knots, and a rod tip positioned 1 meter above the water surface. The lure’s dive depth is then measured using a sonar.
Rapala lures with a swimming list have been field-tested and the swimming action is finely tuned by hand. Rapala lures use high-quality VMC hooks.
