The Rapala Scatter Rap Husky 13 is developed for pike fishing from the drag loop to the back hook. The sensitive, vendace-shaped balsa body is 13 cm long, which corresponds to the size of prey fish preferred by the more aggressive pike. Rapala’s Vääksy factory’s product development team worked hard to develop just the right swimming motion. The swimming motion achieved with the Scatter swim rod consists of a side-to-side kick, a rotational movement of the wobbler body, and a jerking motion from side to side.
The initiative for the development of the Rapala Scatter Rap Husky 13 wobbler came from Finnish trollers, and their expertise has been actively used throughout the product development process. Several Finnish Trolling Championship competition boat clubs participated in the lure’s color design and test fishing. The know-how of the competition anglers is reflected in the versatile, “all-encompassing” color chart of the Rapala Scatter Rap Husky wobbler.
- Length 13 cm
- Weight 12 g
- Floating balsa wood body
- Maximum swimming depth when casting: 2.4 meters and when trolling 3.0 meters.
The swimming depths mentioned above and marked on the packaging were measured at Lake Vesijärvi in Lahti. The measurement method is always the same, i.e. when trolling, the length of the 0.30 mm thick monofilament line is 30 meters, the boat speed is 3 knots and the rod tip is one meter above the water surface. After this, the swimming depth of the wobbler is measured with an echo sounder.
Rapala wobblers equipped with a swimming list have been tested and the swimming movement has been adjusted by hand. Rapala wobblers use high-quality VMC hooks.
All Rapala wobblers are shipped to fishermen all over the world via the Vääksy factory, which also houses the product development department. The heart of Rapala is in Vääksy!
