VMC Fluorashka weight is a Cheburashka-style tungsten weight dyed in fluorescent colors. The available colors are fluoro orange, fluoro yellow, and fluoro pink, with one of each color included in the package, so there are three weights per pack.
Fluorashka is a jig head consisting of the weight and a metal clip. The clip is detached from the weight, and the hook is placed onto it. Afterward, the clip is inserted back into its slot. The line, lock, or leader is then attached to the other loop. We recommend using the VMC Cheboo Lok hook, but other hooks like standard or offset hooks also work well. This design allows the jig to move more freely than a regular jig, as the weight is separate from the hook, giving the jig more action.
Note: Fluorashka fishing weights can also be used for regular casting. They add extra casting distance and help your lure reach deeper depths. For very small lures, we recommend using a short leader or similar setup, placing the weight at the leader’s line side to avoid interfering with the lure’s movement.
