RAPALA Rippin’ Rap

The high-sided, almost coin-shaped Rapala Rippin’ Rap wobbler is a very versatile and easy-to-use wobbler, especially for perch and pike fishing, although it is also suitable as a bait for all predatory fish. The swimming motion is characterized by frequent vibrations and the chatter of rattle balls. You can feel the strong swimming motion right up to the tip of the rod, and often you can notice the perches’ twitches as the swimming motion breaks, even if the fish does not take the lure. This is why the Rapala Rippin’ Rap works as an excellent “indicator lure” that shows that there are perches nearby that would go unnoticed using other lures.

In casting

A lure without a swimbait, which sinks fairly quickly, enables a quick passage through the fishing area (e.g. the edge of the reed bed). Once the perch have been located, the boat is stopped and the focus is on fishing the school.
The sinking body of the Rapala Rippin’ Rap can be used for fishing in different water layers. If the reeling is started when the Rippin’ Rap hits the surface of the water, it can be fished close to the surface. On the other hand, the lure can be sunk to a depth of 2 meters after casting and fish for fish hiding deeper.

In trolling

In trolling, the range of prey fish that the Rapala Rippin’ Rap can catch expands from perch and pike to noble fish.
